Sapphira

WHYLOVE TEACHING? To inspire women and bring out the confidence and showgirl that is in each and every one of them.

Sapphira discovered belly dancing 11 years ago and her own increased self-confidence through performing burlesque inspired her to teach students passing on the wonderful transformation that can be experienced through simple techniques using costume and movement with showgirl pizazz!

With a certification in Group Fitness, Sapphira has been trained to teach in a method that has easy to follow learning curves, improves fitness and muscle tone and is also highly entertaining and fun! The testimonials from the many students taught by Sapphira resonate around the globe with positivity.

Jessabella

WHYLOVE TEACHING? My driving cause in life is to inspire and nurture confidence in women and children. I am fortunate enough to be able to do this by doing what I love. I spend my days teaching children dance/performing arts, and my nights teaching women to sparkle! I believe teaching is a privilege, and one I take very seriously. Nothing warms my heart more than watching my students grow.

Jessabella is an established dance teacher and a graduate from Sapphira’s Showgirls Burlesque Academy whose light shone brightly. She performs burlesque and is a growing name on the local scene, recently competing in such competitions as Miss Burlesque Australia and Australian Burlesque Festival’s Baby Bombshells. A multi-talented starlet, Jessabella  sings in 2 bands the Sulphur Creek Project and the Fiona Lee Maynard’s Stiletto Survival Band and she frequently lights up the camera as a model.

Skopalova

WHYLOVE TEACHING? I have had the honour to train with many amazing professionals in both gymnastics and performance and I love to share this knowledge with others so that they too can reach their potential and have fun.

Skopalova began her performance career as a rhythmic gymnast where she medalled nationally on many occasions. After an intense 12 years in gymnastics, Skopalova expanded her talents to something a little more daring, namely burlesque, cabaret and circus. She soon found herself in Melbourne’s most esteemed corporate events, charity balls and fashion shows including Fashion + Aid, Red Ball and Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Skopalova has taught Rhythmic Gymnastics and movement at many clubs and schools around Adelaide and Melbourne.

Skopalova is a talented dancer and works as one of Sapphira’s Showgirls, professional entertainment troupe plus she has her own business training dancers and athletes in high performance flexibility training. Skopalova has reasearched her training methods as part of an Honours degree in Exercise and Sports Science at Deakin University and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge in the world of burlesque.
